Tip 10. There's more to life than search engines!

Search engines are a very effective way of marketing, there is no doubt about it. However it is not the only form of Internet marketing. Techniques such as reciprocal linking, newsgroup participation, affiliate schemes and viral campaigns can all generate significant levels of business. Also, some of these techniques can have an indirect benefit on your search engine marketing.

Doing well on the search engines is a time consuming activity that requires you to continually update your knowledge and adjust your strategy. In these tips we have tried to highlight the 20% of effort that will produce 80% of the results. However it would take us a book to map out the locations of all the mines that dwell in the search engine landscape and even once we had written it, there will be more that will crop up the next day.
